The British magazine Decanter published in the August edition an article about seven young winemakers from different nationalities that decided to follow their parent´s footsteps and get involved in the family business.
One of them is our winemakers José Lovaglio Balbo. In 2011, he joined the family winery to lead with her mother, Susana Balbo, the winemaking team.
Decanter considered José as one of the key figures in the Argentinian wine revolution of the past two decades. José assured that the most important things that he learned from his mother are to recover from failures, to look forward, and to trust in his palate. Perhaps this last lesson is the one that he used the most for his own project, Vaglio Wines. This line of 4 wines tells the stories of his own life. From being born in Salta, trough his adolescence in Agrelo in Mendoza, to his experiences at UC Davis and spending just over a year in China.
