On his “Top 100 wines of The Andes 2015”, James Suckling picked the wines that stood out from Argentina and Chile. On this article, two of Susana’s wines were chosen as part of the elite: Nosotros Malbec 2010 and BenMarco Expresivo 2013.
BenMarco Expresivo received 94 points at Suckling’s “Argentina’s Great Minerality” report. The awarded vintage was that of 2013, and its characteristics are: “aromas of blackberry, peppercorn tree, violet, mineral notes, balanced natural acidity and firm fine-grained tannins” as a result from its harvest in Gualtallary, a well-known for its chalky alluvial soils which allow adequate water drainage.
Nosotros Single Vineyard Malbec 2010 was also awarded with 94 points on the American report. This Malbec was harvested in the Dominio Vineyard, located in Agrelo, and it’s well-known for its “deep and dense red with dark cherry, blueberry, dried fruits and spices aroma. Bright acidity, full bodied and concentrated yet fresh. Long mineral finish”.
