We are proud to share with you the excellent scores we received in Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate latest publication. In his report “Argentina 2015: One Step Beyond”, the famous critic Luis Gutierrez granted great scores for our wines Crios, Susana Balbo signature, Nosotros and BenMarco.

The latest argentine wines reviews for Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate are out! Luis Gutierrez recently published his report “Argentina 2015: One Step Beyond. The famous wine critic grantedCrios, Susana Balbo Signature, Nosotros and BenMarco wines with excellent scores.

While Crios is still harvesting compliments on its interesting change of image, Uco Valley origin and modern style, Luis gave 90 points to Torrontés 2014 and Red Blend 2014, and 89 to Malbec 2014 and Cabernet Sauvignon 2014.

Regarding Susana Balbo Signature Wines, the clear favorite was Susana Balbo Brioso 2012. Better known as Susana’s Bordeaux blend, it received 92 points and the critic described it as a: “french style with an Argentine twist”.

The Susana Balbo Barrel Femented Torrontés 2014 excelled again for 2 years in a row. Susana’s specialty was granted with 93 points and Luis recognizes her expertise: “If you want to oak a Torrontés, this is the way to do it.” Besides, this winehas gotten the highest score on The Wine Advocate’s history for a Torrontés. As for the red wines, Malbec 2013 and Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 got 90 and 92 points, respectively.

Our special production wine, Nosotros Single Vineyard Nómade 2011,was awarded with 93 points. This wine has the unique characteristic of being nomad: each year the vineyard with the most complex and high quality Malbec is selected by Susana to make the best wine possible. The selected terroir for 2011 vintage was Altamirain the Uco valley.

Last, but not least, BenMarco received 90 points for BenMarcoCabernet Sauvignon 2013, 92 for BenMarcoMalbec 2013 and 93 for the blend BenMarcoExpresivo 2013. Regarding these, Gutierrez stated“There is a change in the Benmarco line since 2013 when viticulturalist Edgardo delPopolo arrived at the winery. The 2013 BenMarcoMalbecis now sourced from vineyards in Vista Flores and Chacayes in the Valle de Uco. The nose is really floral and fruit-driven (black fruit), a little spicy and displaying elegance and poise. The palate is vibrant and focused with pure fruit and silky, fine tannins to make it really drinkable. A great Malbec from Uco and very nicely priced.”
