3 wines recognized in Wine Spectator´s special reviews

Three flagship reds from Susana Balbo Wines were recently recognized by Wine Spectator, earning coveted positions on the magazine’s lists of recommended wines and receiving scores of up to 95 points.

Our Nosotros Single Vineyard Nómade Malbec 2013 was named by Wine Spectator Insider as one of six “Hot Wines”, billed as “the most exciting discoveries” by the publication’s editors. Ranked among wines from France and Italy, Nosotros was highlighted as a wine that “may be difficult to find, but is worth seeking out”. It received 95 points in the magazine’s most recent panel tasting.

Our Susana Balbo Signature Malbec 2015 was also recognized as one of Wine Spectator’s “13 Argentine Wines to Welcome Fall”. According to author Kim Marcus, this wine demonstrates that “Susana Balbo, one of Argentina’s best winemakers… remains at the top of her game with this release and others”. Also named an “excellent Malbec value”, it received 91 points in the most recent panel tasting.

Our Malbecs were not the only standouts in this latest round of awards. Our Susana Balbo Brioso 2014, a blend of Cabernet Suavignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, was also recognized by Wine Spectator Insider as one of the “most exciting wines” discovered by editors in recent tastings. This “well sculpted and luscious” blend received 93 points.
