Benmarco Malbec 2013 with a score of 95 points, won one of the 10 scarce Trophies given in the contest, being elected “Best of the Show Malbec in the category USD 20 – 29.99”, one of the most competitive segments of the competition. This award was won after a careful tasting conducted by 13 international judges and 7 national professionals who tasted 672 samples from 133 wineries.
Benmarco ́s new style continues to harvest awards since the same vintage has already been distinguished with 92 points by Luis Gutierrez for The Wine Advocate and with the same score by James Suckling in his report “Argentina’s Great Minerality”.
Under the motto “10 years Creating the Future”, the AWA 2016 celebrated its anniversary with the participation of a prominent international and national jury composed of: Yang Lu (China), Anthony Gismondi (Canada) Marcos Flores Tlalpan (Mexico), Sarah Jane Evans MW (England), Jennifer Luk (Hong Kong), Göran Klintberg (Sweden), Paul Hobbs (USA), Phil Crozier (England), Adolar Hermann (Brazil), Alberto Antonini (Italy ), Jorge Lucki (Brazil), Patricio Tapia (Chile) and Philip MS Virginia (USA).

BenMarco Malbec 2013 is a wine made with grapes coming from Vista Flores and Los Chacayes in the Uco Valley. From this extraordinary terroir of cold climate, with sandy loam and rocky soils comes this wine that holds perfect ripeness proffering a bouquet of fresh black fruit, floral notes, violets, dried herbs and mineral background, soft tannins, juicy acidity and great length.
