In his most recent publication – “Argentina’s exciting whites”- the journalist includes CriosTorrontés 2014 and Susana Balbo Signature 2014. It’s no surprise that James chose this grape varietal since he admits: “As for indigenous grape types, torrontés remains the flag bearer of Argentina's whites”.
The critic describes CriosTorrontés 2014, awarded with 91 points, as: “A balanced and fruity white with sliced apple, pear and salty character. Medium to full body, bright acidity and a clean finish. You are going to like it”.
In another one of his latest reports –“Argentina’s Great Minerality” –James Suckling makes a list of wines that excels for their balance and finesse. In the publication we find Susana Balbo’s creations such as: Crios Malbec 2014 with 88 points, Crios Red Blend 2014 with 90 points. The Susana Balbo Signature wines included Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 with 93 points and Malbec 2013 with 92 points. Finally, the premium wine Nosotros Malbec 2010 was awarded with 94 points.
