The 2020 Susana Balbo Signature Rosé is one of the three Argentinian wines that were distinguished as part of the top 100 rosé wines of 2021, according to the latest edition of the Vivino Community Awards. This recognition is granted based on the reviews provided by the platform’s more than 50 million users. With a score of 4.3 stars out of 5, the rosé of the first female winemaker of Argentina ranked 83rd worldwide.
Susana Balbo’s Signature wines are the ultimate expression of Susana, both as a woman and as a winemaker, and they reflect her taste, her interests and her vast experience through mold-breaking flavors, aromas and textures. The Susana Balbo Signature Rosé has an elegant pale salmon pink color, and its nose displays a fine floral profile with delicate hints of nuts. On the mouth, its freshness and juicy acidity are in perfect combination with flavors of currants and strawberries. It is a wine of a very good balance and structure that, as a result of its pleasant tension on the palate, can be enjoyed by itself or with the pairing of many meals, such as smoked salmon, Asian spicy food, grilled poultry or hard cheeses.
This recognition proves once again the quality of Susana Balbo’s wines, and, especially, the consistency of its wide portfolio. The winery stands out as one of the pioneers of the Argentinian white and rosé wines revolution, and this is reflected through scores, but also through the production numbers. In this regard, about 30% of the wines produced by Susana Balbo are white or rosé, while the average of the country stands at 15%.
